The Rhode Island Airport Corporation Announces Winner of 2008 Volkswagen New Beetle and Offers Travelers Holiday Parking Rate

Congratulations to Barbara Freedman of Framingham, MA for flying Green and Winning Green! 

WARWICK, R.I. (December 11, 2008) – The Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) today announced Barbara Freedman of Framingham, MA as the winner of the “Love Green.  Love Parking.  Love Bug.” campaign aimed at attracting travelers to park on-airport when flying in and out of T.F. Green Airport in Warwick, RI. 

From June through October, more than two hundred and sixty thousand travelers from across the country entered to win a green 2008 Volkswagen New Beetle each time they parked on-airport.  The vehicle was generously provided by local dealer Ron Fiore of Fiore Volkswagen in Warwick, Rhode Island.  The car has a $20,000 value and the winner is responsible for all prize taxes.

“What a great prize!,” said 2008 Volkswagen New Beetle winner Barbara Freedman.  “I enjoy flying Southwest Airlines out of T.F. Green Airport.  Although I live in Mass, I would never drive to and park at Logan when flying out of T.F. Green is a breeze.”
